Versar requires highly skilled, full-time, professional Junior Security Technician. *This position is contingent upon award. WhatYou’ll Do: * Assist with the design, procurement, logistics, installation, routine maintenance, sustainment, configuration, programming, and lifecycle replacementofPACS,IDS,VSS,andphysicalsecuritysystemswithinthis contract, as well as the integration of other safety and security subsystems.
- Ensureequipmentisupdatedandoperational,meetingrequiredlocal, state, federal, and ADA requirements.
- Assistwith3rdpartysecuritysystemsintegrationsandsoftwareupdates and helps train other personnel in the use of these systems.
- Assists with security assessments, technology upgrades, product selections,testing,fieldverificationofsystemsandinspectionofworkin progress for compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Makesrecommendationsforsecurityequipmentandsystems.
- Assistswithissuing,assigningaccessrightsforaccesscontrolcardsand decommissioning of access control cards.
- Maintainsinventoryofessentialpartsandequipmenttoensurerepairs and installation in a timely manner.
- Ensuremonitoringandtimelyresolutionofserviceandrepairissues. Maintains appropriate records as required.
- CreateandrunreportsforESS/physicalsecuritysystemsasrequired.
- ProvidesonsiteESStrainingofthe Customerpersonnelasrequired.
- Performsotherrelateddutiesasassigned.
- Requires a Top-Secret clearance
- Knowledge of compliance with industry standards, policies, and guidelines such as: physical and electronic security; access and key control; HSPD; NIST SP; FICAM; OMB; and ISC.
- Knowledgeofothersecuritydisciplinesandtheirrelationshiptothe electronic and physicalsecurity programto respond to and troubleshoot system problems.
- Demonstratetheabilitytocomprehendtechnicallanguage,read,and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Demonstratetheabilitytoeffectivelycommunicatebothinwritingand verbally.
- Demonstratetheabilitytoexerciseconsiderablejudgementand initiative.
- Workingknowledgeoflowvoltagesystems.
- Workingknowledgeofnetworkprinciples.
- Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
- Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
- Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.
