Position Summary
VERSA Integrated Solutions is seeking a dynamic Communications Specialist to develop, coordinate, and execute strategic communications supporting Federal Government customers. The successful candidate will translate complex technical and programmatic information into clear, compelling communications tailored for executive leadership, program stakeholders, technical teams, and public audiences.
This position supports organizational change management, executive communications, digital engagement, outreach campaigns, employee communications, training initiatives, and customer communications that advance agency priorities and improve stakeholder engagement.
Position Objectives
The Communications Specialist will:
- Develop communication strategies aligned with agency objectives. Produce professional written and visual communication products. Improve stakeholder awareness and engagement. Support organizational change initiatives. Strengthen executive communications. Ensure consistency across all communication channels.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Communications
- Develop strategic communication plans supporting federal initiatives. Create communication roadmaps and stakeholder engagement strategies. Coordinate communication campaigns across multiple organizations. Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements. Support executive messaging and leadership communications.
Content Development
Develop and maintain:
- Executive briefings White papers Fact sheets Newsletters Press materials Internal communications Web content Technical summaries Program status reports Success stories Communication toolkits
Ensure all content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with agency branding and messaging standards.
Executive Communications
Support senior leadership by preparing:
- Talking points Speeches Presentation materials Congressional briefing materials Executive summaries Decision memoranda Leadership announcements Strategic messaging
Digital Communications
Develop communications using:
- SharePoint Microsoft Teams Agency intranet portals Digital newsletters Email campaigns Collaboration platforms Social media (when authorized)
Monitor engagement metrics and recommend improvements.
Organizational Change Management
Support organizational transformation initiatives by:
- Developing communication strategies Creating stakeholder engagement plans Preparing change management materials Coordinating training communications Measuring communication effectiveness Supporting executive adoption efforts
Graphic Communications
Collaborate with designers to produce:
- Infographics Executive dashboards Posters Brochures Program roadmaps Visual presentations Digital graphics Conference materials
Stakeholder Engagement
Coordinate communication with:

Communications Governance
Develop and maintain:

Security Clearance
