Communications Specialist
Role Description:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has a clear and urgent need to modernize its legacy core Financial Management System (FMS). As a result, the VA initiated the Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT) program to integrate and migrate core financial and acquisition management systems into a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) cloud solution. To help enable this effort, the VA Office of Acquisition and Logistics (OALC) requires integrated program management (IPM) services to support the mission of FMBT, including synchronization and coordination of all activities, offices, and stakeholders involved in: developing and delivering the integrated solution; supporting high employee productivity; developing and maintaining artifacts and deliverables; and designing, deploying, and maintaining the underlying program and project management infrastructure. The team will support the development of a Resolution Framework, apply the framework to modernize legacy Acquisition Business Systems (ABS) and support the implementation of a new forecasting tool through the development of a Readiness Plan.
Responsibilities Include (some combination of):
- Support development of project work plan, stakeholder engagement plan, and data collection plan
- Support development of a Resolution Framework – define repeatable process and criteria for assessing legacy IT/Acquisition System challenges
- Support development of a Readiness Plan for implementing a forecasting tool
- Support data collection and analysis, client interviews, documentation, and development of summary reports and ad-hoc briefing materials

- Experience with strategic planning and client workshop facilitation
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced technical environment

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
