Verrazano Nursing and Post-Acute Center is actively hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager for the day shift, Monday-Friday for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Staten Island, NY. We are seeking an experienced RN to oversee all aspects of operating a unit within our healthcare facility, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring patient care. Extensive clinical experience a must, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration.

Verrazano Nursing and Post-Acute Center is actively hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager for the day shift, Monday-Friday for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Staten Island, NY. We are seeking an experienced RN to oversee all aspects of operating a unit within our healthcare facility, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring patient care. Extensive clinical experience a must, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration.
Duties of RN Supervisor:
- Oversee unit, treatment and medication administration
- Complete Resident care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staff
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to Residents and their families
- Attend and participate in weekly meetings
- Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts
- Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor and other departments
- Investigate all incident reports and follow-up
- Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care
- Participate and report on patient conditions in risk management meetings
- Participate in annual evaluations of staff
- Maintains Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment
- Implement and interpret organizational policies and procedures, and nursing standards and regulations
- Must hold valid NYS RN License
- LTC Experience
- Required Basic computer skills

- 8 hour shift
