Job Description: 

This position will be located in our Santa Ana, CA office and will be required to be onsite at least 4 days a week. Position will report to the VP- Corporate Controller and is responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, which includes

Principal Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, month-end close, and reporting
• Managing and facilitating budgeting, forecasting, and detailed financial reporting
• Monitoring and reviewing financial information and developing financial processes and operational analysis
• Preparing and supervising monthly, quarterly and annual reports including budget and all financial reporting
• Involvement in all efforts to ensure that all financial and compliance related issues have been appropriately considered and achieved
• Establishing and achieving short- and long-range strategic accounting goals for the company and communicating these goals to the Controller and throughout the organization
• Oversee the general accounting function, which includes financial reporting, balance sheet management, cost management, inter-company accounting, account reconciliation
• Assist with regulatory reporting, audit and compliance requirements 
• Implement and coordinate commercial insurance policies
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. 
• Create, modify and/or execute various reports and queries in the GL which result in improvements in standardization, efficiencies and productivity. 
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in accounting required
• CPA Preferred
• 7 or more years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in financial services industries with 3 years in a supervisory/management capacity. 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices 
• Strong leadership skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, planning and organizing, decision making and delegation with the ability to manage and direct the work of others 
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
• Advanced proficiency in Accounting Software, ERP Systems, and Microsoft Applications
