Job Summary:
The Accounting Associate reports to the VP of Finance and is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation of accounts, managing daily correspondence through the company’s accounting e-mail and various other duties as assigned. This position is onsite in Santa Ana, CA and requires a minimum of 4 days in office.

Job Responsibilities:
- Processing accounts payable invoices – including purchase orders, coding, data entry and voucher processing.
- Preparing billing invoices and monthly customer statements – including business to business collections process.
- Prepare and post deposits.
- Assist in general ledger accounting.
- Comply with Federal, State and Company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Responsible for interacting with outside vendors, internal managers and other employees in a professional manner.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years related accounting experience is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Able to utilize professional judgement in bringing non-routine matters to conclusion.
- Ability to plan, organize and schedule own work.
- Strong sense of urgency required with ability to multitask in a dynamic, demanding environment with high level of accuracy.
- Works well with little supervision, receptive to feedback and training to improve employee’s ability to perform at increasing levels of independence.
- Type at least 45 WPM.
- Ability to be efficient and effective using all Microsoft Office programs with a strong ability in excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or AA Degree in Accounting strongly preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks - Enterprise Desktop preferred.
- Knowledge or experience within the real estate or appraisal management fields desired but not required.
