Senior Accountant

Overview:

Veronica Beard is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team at the corporate office in New York, where you will play a vital role in supporting the accounting department. In this position, you will help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly closings by completing all necessary entries and accruals
• Prepare detailed inventory reports and corresponding journal entries for month-end closing across ecommerce, wholesale, and retail
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting standards
• Prepare and review monthly rent payments for all retail locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease agreements
• Reconcile intercompany transactions to maintain accurate financial records across business units
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis to support financial planning
• Assist in gathering support for audit activities
• Other ad hoc roles and projects as required

Qualifications:

• Accounting Degree with experience in GAAP
• 3 - 5 years of experience, a mix of private and Big Four preferred
• Microsoft Office proficient with advanced skills in Excel
• Fashion/Apparel industry experience preferred but not required
• Detail oriented, strong organizational, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with systems integration exposure
• Ability to establish and maintain positive internal and external working relationships
• Entrepreneurial mindset and goal oriented (self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently)

The salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $100,000. The relevant salary range will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications.
