5th Grade Teacher
HBW Middle School
We are seeking a dynamic 5th grade teacher with a strong emphasis in mathematics to join our team for the 2026 -2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building students' conceptual understanding. problem-solving skills. and confidence in math. while also deliveries engaging and standards-aliened science instruction. This position is part of a collaborative team supporting Grade 5 students during their transition into our grades 5-8 middle school. The teacher will play an important role in helping students build independence. organization. and readiness for the middle school experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate in K - 6 Elementary
- Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization Grades 5-8 Mathematics and/or Science a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
