Verona Pizza & Wings is an established, high-energy dining and entertainment spot in Valparaiso, known for our scratch-made pizza, famous wings, and lively atmosphere (trivia, karaoke, live bands). We're seeking an experienced, dedicated Pizza Maker & Line Cook to join our professional kitchen team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for quality food, this is for you!
The Gig: What You'll Do
- Pizza Mastery: Prepare and cook all pizzas, demonstrating expertise in dough handling, stretching, topping, and consistent oven operation.
- Line Excellence: Execute high-volume service on the cooking line, preparing wings, appetizers, and specials to exact quality standards.
- Prep & Support: Efficiently manage all meal prep (chopping, sauce work, portioning) and ensure stations are fully stocked.
- Cleanliness: Maintain impeccable organization and sanitation across the pizza station, line, and prep areas.
We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Pizza Maker (mandatory) and Line Cook.
- Strong basic kitchen skills: knife skills, temperature control, and following recipes.
- Ability to work multiple stations and manage time effectively during peak rush hours.
- Knowledge of professional kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation.
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
