Location: Vero Orthopaedics, Vero Beach, Florida
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team full-time. The Occupational Therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art facility, providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgeries, and injuries. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care and helping patients achieve their functional goals, with a focus on enhancing their ability to perform daily activities.
Education:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure:
Current and valid Florida Occupational Therapist license.
Experience:
Preferably 2 years of experience in orthopedic or outpatient occupational therapy settings. Hand experience is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs, particularly in activities of daily living.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses, goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Administer therapeutic interventions, including fine motor exercises, adaptive techniques, and modalities to improve functional independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, ergonomic adjustments, injury prevention, and strategies to enhance recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Document patients progress accurately in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards.
- Stay informed on advancements in occupational therapy techniques and integrate them into patient care as appropriate.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, adhering to all clinic policies and procedures.
