Vero Health Center is currently hiring for a full-time Office Assistant to assist with clerical, administrative and customer service in West Des Moines, IA. The right candidate will provide essential administrative and clerical support that helps keep our workdays efficient. You will gain valuable experience in multiple roles as you fill in for people who call off sick and ensure we can continue serving patients. Under the direction of our leaders, you assist with tasks like data entry, insurance verification, virtual assistant support, and niche treatments for patients.
You also help with employee training and onboarding, welcoming new hires and helping them settle into their roles. Supporting continual improvement, you help update our clerical processes and training materials. You will assist with administrative tasks for our leadership team, making a tangible difference every single day.
This full-time position earns $20 -$22 an hour. We are an established company and believe that hard work can also be fun.

As an Office Assistant, you are responsible for creating an engaging experience for our existing and new practice members. You go above and beyond with customer service and have a desire and passion to help our team members, serving as needed, when and where necessary. With your energetic and positive attitude, you perform clerical tasks, assist with treatments, schedule appointments, set up accounts and build patient schedules. You also help educate patients on their progress and educate them on Vero's services. You keep the patients happy AND keep them coming back!

ABOUT VERO HEALTH CENTER
Our office hours are Monday and Thursday 9:00am - 6:00pm, Tuesday hours will rotate between the early shift (7:00am - 9:00am) and the later shift (4:00pm - 6:00pm), Wednesday 7:00am - 4:00pm, and Friday 7:00am - 1:00pm. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. Although these are our office hours, staff are required to arrive to work 1/2 hour before our doors open and will be required to work beyond our closing time to serve patients as needed.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN Office Assistant
- 2 years of customer service experience
- 1 year of working in a medical office setting is preferred
