The Global Controller will oversee all global accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, compliance, and internal controls functions across the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will lead a high-performing accounting team while driving process improvement, standardization, and operational scalability across multiple international business units.
This role requires a strong manufacturing background, leadership experience in complex global environments, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all global accounting operations including general ledger, consolidations, month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Manage global consolidations across multiple domestic and international entities
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, audit, and internal control requirements
- Partner closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, process optimization, and reporting efficiency
- Lead and develop accounting teams across multiple regions and business units
- Coordinate external audits and maintain strong relationships with auditors, banks, and external advisors
- Support M&A activity including due diligence, integration, and financial reporting alignment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, supply chain, and plant leadership teams
- Maintain and enhance ERP systems, accounting policies, and internal control environments
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory, standard costing, manufacturing variances, and operational KPIs
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
- 10 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- Prior experience within large-scale manufacturing environments required
- Experience leading accounting functions for organizations with $500M in revenue preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, consolidations, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Experience with global operations and multi-entity accounting structures
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- ERP system experience required; SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Public accounting foundation (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred)
- Experience supporting private equity-backed or publicly traded organizations
- Exposure to international accounting operations and foreign currency consolidations
- Manufacturing industry expertise including cost accounting, inventory controls, and plant operations finance
