Compensation:

$85,000 – $100,000 base salary bonus potential

Vernovis is partnering with a $10M, services-based company with ~30 employees and a clear goal of scaling 5x over the next five years. This organization is looking for a hands-on finance leader to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and help build the financial infrastructure needed to support rapid, sustainable growth.

• Act as the primary financial partner to the CEO and leadership team, driving insights and supporting strategic decisions
• Own the monthly close, financial reporting, and overall accuracy of financial statements
• Manage invoicing (up to 100 per week) and maintain clear visibility into cash flow
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development to support growth objectives
• Oversee outsourced payroll, tax, and compliance functions
• Manage commission calculations and partner with sales leadership on performance and profitability
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and financial reporting
• Support scaling efforts by building a strong financial foundation and future team structure

• 5 years of progressive experience across accounting and finance
• Strong command of financial statements, close processes, and forecasting
• Experience operating in a hands-on or standalone finance role
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Ability to work both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in a services or project-based business
• Exposure to commission structures or sales-driven financial models
• Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to improve efficiency and reporting
