What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry position at Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center?
Vernon Rehabilitation and HCC is actively seeking two part time laundry aides for 8 and 16 hours per week.
This ideal candidate will also work in housekeeping as needed, therefore cross training in both departments. Every other weekend is required. Times are 8am to 4pm with some flexibility.
Common Essential Functions are:
Gathers soiled linen/resident personal clothing from designated areas.
Sorts, launders, and dries facility linens and resident personal clothing.
Sorts and folds dried linens and resident personal clothing.
Delivers clean linen/resident personal clothing to designated areas.
Cleans laundry area and equipment as directed.
Requests additional suppliers and replacement linen as necessary.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required - bending, stooping, turning, stretching, and reaching above the shoulders are involved.
Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics/equipment that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
