We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Record Integrity Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with clinical teams, facilities, and providers to ensure compliance with healthcare information management documentation. This role involves reviewing deficiencies for outpatient, inpatient, and emergency services related to patient records, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of medical records and obtaining electronic signatures from providers.
The Record Integrity Auditor will collaborate with the HIPAA Privacy Officer to identify risk areas and maintain compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures, requiring a strong understanding of access and disclosure of protected health information. Additionally, the auditor will analyze and interpret data to identify areas needing improvement and make necessary recommendations. Responsibilities also include coordinating the release of medical information to insurance companies related to trends, audits, and denials from payers.
This position demands the ability to multitask and work independently to complete assignments within given parameters, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. The auditor will also provide support for AI-scribed applications, including training, auditing, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position, with an associate degree in healthcare being strongly preferred. Candidates should possess knowledge of medical terminology, coding, HIPAA, privacy laws, and medical records. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare office setting is preferred.
