Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care and support to patients, ensuring optimal recovery and well-being.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, objective testing, and application of modalities.Ensure patient safety and comfort during positioning, transfers, and ambulation.Document treatments and accurately report patient progress to the Physical Therapist, physician, or insurance as required.Maintain department cleanliness, equipment functionality, and adhere to protocols when applicable.Participate in PT rounding, assist with discharge planning, and recommend alternative techniques to improve outcomes.Support departmental initiatives including in-service training, quality improvement programs, and meetings.Supervise PTA students and assist with supply and equipment purchasing.Perform other duties as needed to support patient care and departmental operations.QualificationsEducation/Training:Associate degree in Physical Therapist AssistingCurrent Wisconsin PTA licenseCurrent BLS certificationHours, Wage & BenefitsHours:During Clinic hours from 6:30 am to 5:15 pm depending on need.Wage:starting at $24.42 with increases depending on experienceComprehensive Benefits Package Includes:Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceLife and Short-Term Disability insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending optionsPaid Time Off and Bereavement LeaveTuition Assistance Program401(k) savings plan with 4% employer matchHuman ResourcesVernon Memorial Healthcare507 S.
