Facilities Maintenance Technician

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | On‑Call Rotation Every 4–5 Weeks
Starting Pay: $22.33/hour (Depending on experience) Excellent Benefits

Vernon Memorial Healthcare is seeking a dependable, skilled Plant Services Technician to join our Plant Services Department. In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for our staff and patients by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility upgrades.

• Perform general construction tasks, including:
  • Framing
  • Drywall hanging and finishing
  • Woodworking and wood finishing
  • Dropped ceiling installation
  • Commercial flooring
  • Painting and wallpaper installation
• Complete repairs and maintenance across facility systems:
  • Basic plumbing
  • HVAC support
  • Other building systems as needed
• Assist with branding updates and specialized projects
• Follow safety and infection‑control procedures, especially in patient areas
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• 3 years of experience in commercial construction or building maintenance
• Skilled in drywall, commercial flooring, painting, and general repairs
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or after‑hours when needed
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
