Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of all organizational facilities, buildings, and grounds. This role performs general maintenance and minor repairs, including repairing and treating floors, sinks, walls, doors, and carpets. The technician troubleshoots maintenance issues and completes minor repairs prior to engaging outside vendors, while also assisting contracted service providers as needed.
Essential Functions
The following duties are essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made, in accordance with the ADA, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
- Responsible for completing each assigned task associated with that facility on a daily basis. Each facility maintains a checklist that will be initialed by the maintenance station keeper at the completion of each assigned task. The expectation is to complete this checklist every day.
- Required to move and assist in transporting furniture and equipment to the various facilities in preparation for board meetings and various staff functions.
- Assist with the ordering of maintenance supplies and their stowage.
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot problems before outside parties are called for repair. Maintenance personnel will make themselves available to assist outside vendors who may be contracted to perform work in and outside of the facilities.
- Perform general maintenance work at all organizational facilities, buildings, and grounds, ensuring that cleanliness and safety is maintained at all times.
- Repair and treat structures such as floors, sinks, walls, doors and carpets
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Schedule
- Monday–Tuesday: 5:00 PM–7:00 PM
- Occasional extended hours
- On-site position

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in the various trades is preferred: i.e.: plumbing, electric,
- carpentry, painting, cement, tile, etc., OR
- Two years’ experience in building maintenance.
- Previous experience in a medical is setting preferred but not required.
- Must be honest and reliable Detail oriented.
- Ability to make good decisions.
- Must be able to lift 30- 50 lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation and driver’s license
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
