Duties:
- Ambitiously provide friendly and superb service to the constituency of the Home with compassion and zeal while maintaining an attitude of professionalism, maturity and team orientation.
- Promotes the mission and values of Vernon Advent Christian Home.
- Answers telephone, page calls, and delivers messages to residents.
- Pass trays to residents who can feed themselves.
- Sit with residents at meals who need cueing.
- Assist in maintaining nursing station, day room and service rooms, (both clean and dirty) in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Direct and assist visitors.
- Open beds and put out basins and supplies for PM care.
- Empty laundry and trash bags as needed.
- Clean bedside units after PM care.
- Stock supplies for clean service room.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all residents
- Treat all residents fairly and with kindness, dignity and respect.
- Knock before entering the resident's room.
Skills:
- Experience working with seniors in a healthcare setting.
- Understanding of sterile processing protocols and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
