Duties:

• Ambitiously provide friendly and superb service to the constituency of the Home with compassion and zeal while maintaining an attitude of professionalism, maturity and team orientation.
• Promotes the mission and values of Vernon Advent Christian Home.
• Answers telephone, page calls, and delivers messages to residents.
• Pass trays to residents who can feed themselves.
• Sit with residents at meals who need cueing.
• Assist in maintaining nursing station, day room and service rooms, (both clean and dirty) in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Direct and assist visitors.
• Open beds and put out basins and supplies for PM care.
• Empty laundry and trash bags as needed.
• Clean bedside units after PM care.
• Stock supplies for clean service room.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all residents
• Treat all residents fairly and with kindness, dignity and respect.
• Knock before entering the resident's room.

Skills:

• Experience working with seniors in a healthcare setting.
• Understanding of sterile processing protocols and procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
