Executive Function Tutor - VHHS
Overview: A Resource Executive Functioning Tutor will work one on one or in small groups with students identified by the MTSS process.
Reports to: Assistant Principal for Student Services
Employee status: Educational Support Personnel - Direct Paraprofessional
ESP Bargaining Union
Calendar: 178 Student Attendance Days, 7:45am - 3:45pm
Qualifications: Paraprofessional License
Experiences in educational/school setting is beneficial
Background in personal organization and planning
Professional/Personal Characteristics:
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment
- Ability to work as part of an educational team to support the needs of individual or groups of students
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-impact tutoring for identified students in executive functioning.
- Review executive functioning strategies and practices through individual and/or group tutoring.
- Collaborate with the MTSS team in the development and implementation of tutoring.
- New duties may be designed as the position evolves and/or further needs are identified.
