About This Role
We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and safe Transport Driver to provide transportation for our residents to and from medical appointments, therapy visits, and community outings. You will be the friendly, dependable face our residents see on some of their most important days — getting them to their doctor safely and on time. What You'll Do
Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy visits, specialist offices, and community outings
Assist residents in and out of the vehicle with patience and care — including wheelchair loading and securing
Operate a community-owned vehicle including wheelchair-accessible vans as needed
Maintain a consistent and reliable pick-up and drop-off schedule
Communicate any appointment changes, delays, or resident concerns to the nursing team promptly
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection logs daily
Keep the transport vehicle clean, fueled, and maintained — report any mechanical issues immediately
Maintain accurate trip logs including destinations, mileage, and departure and return times
Assist residents with packages, belongings, or mobility aids during transport
Follow all traffic laws, facility policies, and resident safety standards at all times
Maintain resident confidentiality per HIPAA requirements at all times
Requirements
Valid driver's license — clean driving record required
Current or ability to obtain a CDL or Chauffeur's license if required by state or community policy
CPR/First Aid certification preferred or must obtain within 30 days of hire
Prior experience transporting elderly, disabled, or medically complex passengers preferred
Ability to safely operate a wheelchair-accessible van and secure wheelchairs properly
Patient, warm, and professional manner with elderly residents and their families
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule
Ability to lift and assist residents with mobility needs — up to 50 lbs
Clean background check required
