What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Vernis & Bowling?
Vernis & Bowling is seeking an experienced Paralegal for our First Party Property department. Experience in First Party Property is required and ideal candidates would have experience with Aderant Total Office (ATO) and be comfortable managing attorneys' schedules.
Duties:
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- File documents with the court system
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Answer phone calls and provide courteous and professional phone etiquette
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using Aderant Total Office is preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
