About the Firm:
Vernis & Bowling’s North Palm Beach office is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its Directors & Officers (D&O), Condominium & Homeowners Association Law, and Employment Law practice.
About the Role:
This is a substantive paralegal position focused on drafting, discovery, and case analysis, not an administrative or scheduling role. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in insurance defense or civil litigation. Candidates should have strong writing and analytical skills, be detail-oriented and proactive, be able to independently manage discovery, and be familiar with Florida state and federal e-filing procedures. Paralegal certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft standard pleadings, discovery requests, and discovery responses
- Review records, then gather and identify pertinent information to prepare discovery responses
- Assist in preparing litigation reports and conferral correspondence
- Prepare and complete state and federal electronic filings
- Organize and prepare trial exhibits
