Vernay just celebrated it's 75th anniversary and is an innovative, global manufacturer of components used to control the flow of liquid and gas in thousands of applications from medical devices to consumer products. Our Griffin, GA rubber molding facility is hiring for a range of positions, including Production Operators on 2nd Shift (3 pm-11 pm M-F), 3rd Shift (11 pm-7 am M-F), and 12-hour shifts (7:00-7:00, rotating 3-days one week and 4-days the next).
Employees will accrue vacation at a rate of 40 hours in the first year, 80 hours on their 1st anniversary date, and 120 hours on their 5th anniversary date. In addition, Vernay offers 80-96 hours per year of paid holidays.
Job Description:
Our Production Operator positions are truly the heart of our company. In this position, you may perform various manufacturing tasks, including injection-, compression- and transfer-molding, die-cutting, assembly, quality audits, and inspection. Vernay prioritizes safety, and all necessary training will be provided. You will work with machinery and tooling, including presses, molds, die-cutting equipment, robotic automation, etc. You will learn how to set up and operate equipment, enter process data in computer systems, and interpret/follow written process documentation. Vernay manufactures products in both medical cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments. If you work in the cleanroom, you will wear medical gowning and PPE apparel, including masks, booties, and hairnets. The entire facility is air-conditioned, and the medical cleanroom is climate and air-quality controlled.
Qualifications:
· One year of manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. More importantly, you should enjoy working with your hands and get a sense of satisfaction from building/creating things.
· A high school diploma or GED is required.
· To thrive in this position, you will have natural attention to detail, enjoy repetitive tasks, take pride in the quality of your work and personal effort, and possess a disciplined work ethic.

Compensation and Benefits:
· The Production Operator is a Full-Time position.
· Including shift premiums, starting wages are $18.00 for second shift, and $18.00 for third shift and 12-hour nighttime positions.
