This position supports the City's communication efforts by managing social media, creating graphics and
digital content, writing press releases, updating the website, and assisting with community events. The
role also provides administrative support to the City Recorder's Office, including preparing public notices,
helping assemble City Council packets, and maintaining official records. Applicants should have strong
writing, design, and organizational skills, experience in social media or communications, and the ability to

High school graduate or equivalent.
Specialized training in graphic design, communications or marketing preferred.
Proficient in the use of web design programs, word processing and spreadsheet.
Ability to keyboard 50 words per minute with no errors.
Two (2) years successfully demonstrated experience in social media management, public relations
communications or a related role, preferably in government or public service.
