The School of Nursing & Health Sciences at Vermont State University invites applicants for a Part-Time teaching position for Fall 2026 (August 21 - December 18, 2026)


The course to be taught is PED 2160 - Emergency Care & Personal Safety


2 hours of lecture/2 hours of lab per week at the VTSU Lyndon Campus.


This course will provide the participant with essential information for developing the functional first aid capabilities of a first responder. As a crucial link in the EMS system, first responders evaluate and treat patients until more advanced medical help can arrive. Students will challenge national first aid and emergency cardiac care certification examinations at the completion of the course.


Minimum Qualifications:


The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or better in a related field or equivalent experience in the field. Teaching experience at the college level is preferable.


CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification
