What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Production Assistant position at Vermont Soy?
Vermont Soy is a small local Tofu production facility seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a production assistant.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- assisting with daily production (based on demand)
- ability to lift up to 50# consistently
- cut pressed blocks and put into cooling tank
- manually cut cooled blocks into retail /pack and seal tofu
- ability to be on your feet all day
- work in a warm/humid environment consistantly
- follow direction as well as give direction when needed
- communication skills are a must
- work well as a team player as well as independently
- maintain clean work space during the day
- help with end of day cleaning
- follow daily/weekly and monthly cleaning SOP's
- adhere to companies GMP's are a must
- consistent attendance is a must
- reliable transportation is a must
- ability to be flexible with schedule- production days generally (M-W) with potential of Thursday- based on demand
