Details
- Location: This job is on-site at our facility in Hinesburg, VT
- Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday (3 x 12-hour shifts)
- Start Time: Flexible between 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM (based on candidate fit)
- Pay Rate: Starting from $34/hour 20% Shift Differential
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in supporting both production operations and long-term equipment reliability. This position blends real-time technical support with proactive maintenance efforts, helping to ensure equipment runs safely, efficiently, and consistently. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the technician contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and helps maintain a high standard of operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to production teams during equipment malfunctions
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians to resolve complex technical issues
- Respond quickly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
- Perform diagnostics on damaged equipment and recommend repair solutions
- Execute and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Complete PMs during scheduled post-production time each shift
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime and efficiency
- Identify and address safety risks related to equipment and processes
- Follow all safety standards and promote a safe working environment
- Experience in a mechanical or electrical environment, preferably within manufacturing or food production, is beneficial but not required
- Willingness to learn and be trained on specialized equipment, with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Ability to adapt to evolving processes and production demands in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or trade school degree in a related field preferred

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, stand (on concrete flooring) or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to visually observe objects up close and at a distance.
- Regularly requires hands to handle or feel and finger dexterity.
- Ability to work in 38° Fahrenheit temperature and wet environment.
- Ability to withstand noisy environment.
- Operation of production equipment, tools, and controls.
- Regularly required to use oral communication skills.
- Learn and apply new information or skills.
- Regularly required to demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy when interacting with the team.
- Ability to visually discern quality and cleanliness and follow food/workplace safety requirements.
- Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing plant.
- English is the primary language; training materials are written in English. For individuals who do not speak English as their primary language, translation will be provided.
