About the Role:
The 3rd Shift VPT-Machine Operator for Made to Stock (MTS) plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of manufacturing equipment during overnight hours. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining VPT machinery to produce high-quality products that meet production schedules and inventory targets. The operator will work closely with team peers and shift supervisors to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the shift, minimizing downtime and maintaining safety standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise operational procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with company standards. Ultimately, the operator contributes to the overall success of the manufacturing process by supporting the timely and accurate fulfillment of Made to Stock inventory demands.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor VPT machines during the 3rd shift to ensure continuous production flow.
- Perform routine machine inspections, adjustments, and minor maintenance to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment and product integrity.
- Document production data, machine performance, and any incidents or deviations encountered during the shift.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or product issues promptly.

Training schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
