About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our close-knit team. This position is ideal for someone who values compassionate, individualized patient care, and enjoys working in a small, collaborative environment. The RN will support patients throughout their surgical journeys, providing education, assisting during in-office procedures, and ensuring safe, smooth recovery experiences. The ideal candidate is warm, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing every aspect of the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate pre-operative and post-operative care
- Assist the surgeon during in-office procedures and treatments
- Prepare patients for surgery, including preoperative education and necessary clinical tasks
- Provide postoperative care instructions and support patients throughout recovery
- Triage patient questions by phone, email, and patient portal
- Perform clinical tasks such as vitals, wound care, charting, and documentation
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to ensure seamless patient flow and exceptional service
- Assist front desk staff with patient intake and phone calls as needed
- Uphold the practice’s commitment to patient-centered, compassionate, and high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont
- Previous experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, perioperative care, or a similar specialty preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic, patient-focused approach
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Comfort with assisting in procedures and handling clinical tasks
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small practice setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a calm, professional manner
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all regulatory standards
- Openness to learning new skills
Schedule
- Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
- Typical office hours are M-F 8:30am - 4:30pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
