What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technicians All Levels position at Vermont Learning Collaborative?
Welcome to the Vermont Learning Collaborative, a non-profit agency that offers programs and district services to best serve the needs of the students and families of Southeastern Vermont.
We are seeking specialized support staff with their Registered Behavior Technician certification to work with students in the Windham and Windsor county area. Opportunities to work full time or part time.
Must be a relationship based professional who is excited to work with youth who have experienced past trauma or have an identified social/emotional disability and/or Autism. RBT supervision available.
Candidates for this position will be responsible for supporting para-educators who will be implementing positive behavior support plans written by a BCBA; working directly to support students behaviorally, socially, and emotionally, as well as providing academic support in classroom settings. This will include developing schedules based on student needs, collaborating with teachers and championing inclusion. RBT's will also work directly with students implementing behavioral plans and supporting academic goals. Applicants with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential are required.
Qualified applicants for this position will have two years of college level education, preferably in the area of education. Candidates should have an ability to support behavioral and social skill development in a general education environment, and strong communication, problem solving and collaborative skills. Previous experience with Applied Behavior Analysis in a school or home setting is highly preferred. RBT certification or eligibility for RBT certification required.
