Position Overview
Vermont Indexable Tooling is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. This position serves as a key link between our customers, office, and shipping operations by coordinating orders, assisting customers, preparing shipments, and processing billing. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in providing accurate, timely service from order placement through delivery.
This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position during regular business hours.
Responsibilities
- Process and expedite customer orders from receipt through shipment
- Answer customers' emails and assist with order status, shipping, and general inquiries
- Prepare customer invoices and process billing accurately
- Assisting in labeling and packaging
- Using computer hardware and software to generate labels and maintain equipment
- Ensuring products are assigned to the correct shipping carrier
- Maintaining and organizing adequate shipping supplies
- Performing daily and weekly cleaning according to SOPs
- Assisting in other areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong customer service and phone communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
