Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SNF Co-Director of Staff Development that is a Licensed Vocational Nurse to lead our staff education initiatives within skilled nursing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with extensive experience in clinical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or acute care environments. This leadership role involves designing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance staff competency, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote a culture of continuous learning. The Co-Director will collaborate closely with clinical teams to elevate patient care quality through targeted professional development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee staff training programs tailored to the needs of nursing home, hospital, and acute care staff, including specialized units such as ICU and pediatrics.
- Conduct assessments of staff educational needs and create curricula aligned with current medical standards, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Facilitate adult education sessions, workshops, and hands-on training to improve clinical skills and compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; adjust programs accordingly to meet evolving healthcare requirements.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure training supports quality patient care delivery across diverse settings including home care and teaching hospitals.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications, and compliance documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Promote a positive learning environment that encourages professional growth, teamwork, and adherence to best practices in patient care.
Experience
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency departments; nursing home or long-term care experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in hospital or teaching hospital settings with a focus on acute care services.
- Extensive experience in medical documentation, medical records management, and understanding of medical terminology.
- Prior involvement in training & development initiatives within healthcare settings; experience in adult education preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and best practices for safeguarding patient information.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
