VEIC is seeking a Recruiter as a key member of our People and Culture team (P&C HR) and will work to build and support VEIC’s full life cycle talent acquisition strategy. They will plan, manage, execute, and coordinate the full life cycle of recruitment, and build strong partnerships with VEIC hiring managers, leaders, and staff. VEIC currently has employees in 23 states and will likely be expanding into additional regions as we grow. The Recruiter will work to both assess and strengthen VEIC’s systems and processes to support both current and future needs, all while contributing to an inclusive, mission-driven, creative, innovative, and inspiring work environment.

Responsibilities
- Manages and executes full life cycle recruitment process – this includes posting jobs, sourcing passive candidates, phone screening qualified candidates, coordinating and facilitating interviews and debriefs, references, offers, and hiring selected candidates.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with external agencies, colleges, vendors, associations, and other bodies who might route talent to the organization or aid in the recruitment process.
- Develops and cultivates strong relationships with hiring managers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to fully understand VEIC’s business needs and objectives to develops recruitment strategy that matches overall requirements and success factors for short and long-term talent needs of the business.
- Partners with the VEIC DEI Manager to support the development and implementation of DEI strategies in recruitment processes.
- Generates and analyzes recruitment metrics including time to fill, new hire retention, candidate experience, offer acceptance rate, etc. on a regular basis.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts for the effectiveness and efficiency of our hiring process.
- Be the key point of contact for all virtual and in-person job fairs and recruitment events.
- Partners with Communications department to develop new hire announcements internally, on LinkedIn, and distribution of new hire welcome gifts.
- Coordinates with the HR Generalist on payroll initiatives ensuring accurate and timely paperwork is in place for employee changes.

Qualifications
- Strong commitment to the mission, vision, goals, and values of VEIC.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field and at least three years full life cycle recruitment experience including posting jobs, sourcing passive candidates, phone screening qualified candidates, coordinating and facilitating interviews and debriefs, references, offers, and hiring selected candidates or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired.
- Proven experience developing and managing candidate pipelines to support optimal candidate selection.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner.
- Ability to build and maintain business relationships with external agencies, industry associations, colleges and universities, workforce development agencies, etc., and ability to work in a team environment.
- Proven project management and time management skills.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software including extensive Windows and Microsoft Office applications experience.
- Experience working in applicant tracking systems (ICIMS a plus).
- Analytical Skills – ability to identify the root cause of problems/opportunities and develop and implement data-informed solutions.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
