Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) is looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our Fleet & Inventory Team in Johnson, VT. This is your chance to play a critical role in powering our communities by keeping our fleet reliable, safe, and ready to serve over 32,000 members across Northern Vermont.
As a VEC Mechanic, you'll take the lead in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a diverse fleet of more than 100 vehicles and pieces of equipment. From Class 1 vehicles like Ford Escapes and EVs to heavy-duty Class 8 bucket and digger trucks, excavators, trailers, diesel generators, ATVs, and more-you'll be at the center of keeping our crews on the road and our members connected to safe, reliable electricity.
Your expertise ensures that every VEC employee has the dependable tools they need to serve our members. This role is hands-on, self-directed, and highly impactful. You'll have the freedom to anticipate maintenance needs, solve problems creatively, and keep our operations moving smoothly.
