About the Role:
- Positions: Early Education & Care Assistant Teacher
- Location: Rutland, Vermont
- Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating, implementing, and managing lesson plans, including taking over in the Lead Teacher's absence.
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and orderly environment while adhering to Vermont State Licensing Regulations.
- Ensure effective communication with families and co-workers and assist with updating parent boards and assessments.
- Create a supportive atmosphere using positive discipline and represent the program positively in the community.
- Complete required training, maintain certifications, and ensure the safe pick-up of children.
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of child development, including differing abilities,
- Ability to lift and carry a 30-pound child and change positions freely.
- Strong professional communication with staff, clients, and the public.
- Ability to maintain a safe, organized classroom environment that fosters learning and socialization.
