What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Design Intern (UX/UI) position at Vermilion?
Three-month internship at the production company of New York-based award-winning independent filmmaker. 10-14 hours per week, remote and in-person at our office in Tribeca. These internships offer both practical training in graphic design and marketing as well as a significant educational component, including working on exciting, high-level projects, learning alongside accomplished industry professionals, and exit interviews to help craft your career strategy going forward. $100 stipend provided upon completion.
Internship Responsibilities
- Creating graphic design mockups in Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Exploring user-centered design concepts and applying them to digital platforms
- Assisting with UX/UI design for websites and digital platforms, including wireframes, mockups, user flows, and user interface improvements
- Brainstorming and assisting on brand campaigns and creation of film posters
- Assisting alongside the marketing team on social media and advertising campaigns
- Compiling visual look books via Pinterest, Instagram, and Milanote
- Working with copywriters to create captivating visuals and cohesive digital experiences
Qualifications:
A strong interest in film, TV, UX/UI design, graphic design, and marketing is required, with preference given to candidates who are visually creative, curious about user experience, and have a strong eye for design and storytelling. We look for people who want to contribute to social media campaigns, film posters, branding, websites, and digital platforms while developing their skills in UX/UI design, Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience with wireframing, prototyping, user flows, or other UX/UI design tools is a plus.Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines are also important.
