Job Summary
What You’ll Do
- Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing by coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness and minimize disruption.
- Respond to line calls and troubleshoot production issues to maintain safety, quality, and delivery standards.
- Initiate, review, and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as 3DX, Teamcenter or Windchill.
- Design and validate tools and fixtures that improve operator efficiency, safety, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to identify and implement process improvements, including Kaizen events and just-in-time (JIT) practices.
- Integrate automation and smart tools into the value stream to reduce manual labor and improve consistency.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, or SOLIDWORKS to support tooling and process design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field with a minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes, tooling, and lean methodologies.
- Experience with ECNs and PLM systems (e.g., 3DX, Teamcenter, Windchill).
- Working knowledge of CAD tools and digital work instruction platforms.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Power BI dashboards, or IoT (Internet of Things)-enabled process monitoring tools.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and support data-driven decision-making.
- Occasional travel is expected of this position.
