The music therapist will be responsible for establishing treatment goal plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Contributions
- Establish music therapy treatment goals following assessment process
- Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate
- Completes all necessary documentation such as annual and quarterly reports for active caseload; attends annual meetings as needed. Active participation in the Interdisciplinary Team Process.
- Consult closely with multi-disciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies
- Design musical interventions to promote nonmusical treatment goals in sensorimotor, communicative, cognitive skills, and social-emotional domains while considering an individual's sensory processing and regulation
- Implements therapeutic programming in the residences and ATF as appropriate.
- Travel to all ICF locations in the Pittsburgh area to provide therapeutic session
- Collaborate with caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to align goals with each client’s plan of care.
- Provides an environment conducive to safety for clients, visitors and staff.
- Will assume all other duties as assigned.

- Verbal and written communication skills are necessary to present ideas, programs and progress reports concerning individuals to staff, parents and other departments.
- Ability to interact well with all departments and across disciplines.
- Must demonstrate good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy
- Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
- 1-3 years of experience working with those who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Requires familiarity with Windows operating systems, electronic health records, email communication, word processing and spreadsheet software.
- On-the-job training is provided by the Habilitation Services Manager on various interdepartmental methods and procedures.
- CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Must have Act 33 and Act 34 clearances.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
