What You’ll Be Doing...

We are seeking an innovative, full-stack developer with deep expertise in generative AI and modern software development to join our Cyber AI Services (CAIS) organization. In this high-impact role, you will partner directly with Cyber business leaders to ideate, prioritize, deliver, and quantify the value AI can deliver across Verizon’s security ecosystem. You will serve as both a trusted advisor who can translate complex business needs into actionable AI solutions, and a hands-on engineer who can rapidly bring those ideas to life. Success in this role requires bridging software engineering, cybersecurity, and data science to design and deliver end-to-end AI solutions - building scalable systems, orchestrating large-scale data processing in GCP and AWS containerized environments, and iterating quickly to drive measurable business outcomes. Flexibility, adaptability and a bias for action are essential as we focus on continuous value delivery with an Agile methodology.

• Building high-concurrency APIs using FastAPI and develop front end solutions to support ML-based anomaly detections
• Designing and deploying AI agents using LangGraph or CrewAI to automate critical Verizon Cybersecurity functions, including incident triage, reputation lookups, evidence evaluation, and report generation.
• Architecting and maintaining robust data pipelines to support data scientists working on anomaly detection and threat hunting models.
• Managing large-scale log ingestion and processing capabilities within GCP (utilizing Dataflow and Dataproc) and AWS containerized environments.
• Deploying applications to containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/GKE), manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability, and support model deployment evaluation via VertexAI and MLOps practices.
• Implementing deep instrumentation using OpenTelemetry (OTel) for instrumenting Python applications and manual instrumentation of complex workflows (Spark, AI Agents), while creating Grafana dashboards to visualize metrics, distributed traces, and logs.
  
  

What We’re Looking For...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript
• Strong experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI for building stateful, multi-agent workflows, VertexAI environment.
• Implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) using Vector Databases (e.g., pgvector).
• Experience integrating LLMs into production workflows, including MCP implementations and handling security aspects.
• Familiarity with OAuth / OIDC authentication standards.
• Backend experience with FastAPI for asynchronous REST APIs and Flask for microservices/legacy support.
• Frontend proven ability with Plotly Dash for complex data visualization.
  
  

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Eight or more years of proven experience working within Agile methodologies
• Experience with GKE Looker.
• Experience with Middleware gateways such as Kong, Apigee, or ApiSix.
• Proficiency in Apache PySpark for writing, optimizing, and tuning Spark jobs for large datasets.
• Experience building complex DAGs using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Dagster.
• Hands-on experience with GCP Data Services, specifically Google Cloud Dataflow (Apache Beam) and Cloud Dataproc.
• Proficiency with SQL (BigQuery), Kafka, Parquet format, and handling both batch and streaming paradigms.
• Knowledge of Python data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong background in Containerization (Docker) and orchestration via Kubernetes (GKE).
• Experience with automated testing and deployment pipelines.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $120,500.00 - $231,000.00.
