Position:  HARDWARE IN THE LOOP ENGINEER / (HIL Engineer)

Required Qualifications

* Operate Opal-RT hardware for validation testing after control code development. The team excludes DSpace experience but accepts comparable skills with Typhoon platforms.
* Min requirement is only 3 yrs of applicable exp
*  Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) Validation Engineer. The position requires familiarity with power electronics, specifically basic topology and firmware, to support control engineers. The core responsibility involves working with Opal-RT machines to integrate control boards and perform HIL validation testing on platforms.
* Person is not responsible for initial code development. Their primary role begins after the control engineer has designed and developed the code, at which point the HIL Validation Engineer performs the setup, integration, signal integrity checks, and validation testing based on established design verification test plans
* The team specifically uses Opal-RT machines for their center of excellence. While Opal-RT experience is preferred, they are willing to consider candidates with Typhoon experience if the candidate demonstrates the potential to learn the
Opal-RT system quickly. Experience with DSpace is not considered acceptable for this role.

Role:
The HIL Engineer is responsible for the setup, integration, maintenance, and validation of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems used for the development and verification of power electronics, energy storage, and control systems. The engineer will work closely with controls, firmware, system, and hardware engineering teams to develop HIL models, configure test environments, automate test execution, and support product verification activities throughout the development lifecycle.
