Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer with experience in the aerospace domain and a solid understanding of the DO-178B/C software lifecycle. The role involves the verification and validation of embedded software used in safety-critical systems and support the offshore team in verification activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute verification and validation activities as per DO-178B/C Level A/B/C objectives.
- Develop and review Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Procedures, and Test Reports.
- Perform requirements-based testing, structural coverage analysis, and regression testing.
- Review software requirements (SRD), design documents (SDD) and source code for completeness and testability.
- Ensure traceability from high-level requirements to low-level implementation and test cases to test procedures and results
- Identify and document defects and support root cause analysis with development teams.
- Participate in peer reviews, SOI audits, and configuration control processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, systems engineers, and QA personnel.
Required Skills:
- 6 years of experience in aerospace or other safety-critical software Verification & Validation (V&V).
- Strong understanding of the DO-178B/C lifecycle, objectives, and certification processes.
- Proficiency in embedded software testing, especially in C-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with unit, SW/SW, HW/SW integration and system-level testing.
- Experience in regression testing and test result analysis.
- Familiarity with avionics communication protocols such as ARINC 429 and CAN.
- Practical experience using debuggers such as Code Composer Studio and ZAP Cross Debugger.
- Knowledge of test rig setup
- Proficient in using simulation and analysis tools like CANalyzer, BusTools/ARINC, and EICAS/CMS Simulator.
- Hands-on experience with test and verification tools such as RTRT and SCADE.
- Experience in requirements management and traceability using tools like IBM DOORS and Reqtify.
- Working knowledge of configuration management tools such as Accurev.
- Familiarity with JIRA for test management, defect tracking, and task management.
- Basic knowledge of Perl scripting for automation or test support tasks.
- Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience with aircraft systems, especially smoke detection or safety-critical embedded systems.
- Experience working on projects involving system variants or retrofit modifications.
