Project Manager – Veritas Custom Homes

Veritas is a design build remodeling company serving North Raleigh and Wake Forest, North Carolina. We take on all types of residential remodels, from kitchens and primary suites to whole home renovations, additions, and aging in place modifications, always with the premium design and craftsmanship our clients expect. Our work is guided by our motto, "Stewarding Truth Through Renovation Excellence," and by three core values: Fair and Honest, Others Oriented, and Always Improving.

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Project Manager to join our team. Our office sits in the heart of Wake Forest, and we intentionally focus our work in North Raleigh and Wake Forest. Keeping our footprint focused protects the quality of every remodel and, just as importantly, protects our team, keeping workloads sustainable so our people are not stretched thin or burned out. With strong, steady demand for residential remodeling in these markets, there is no shortage of opportunity for a driven Project Manager to build a rewarding, long term career here.

About the Role

As a Project Manager with Veritas, you will oversee residential remodeling projects from scope definition through final walkthrough, coordinating with clients, designers, architects, subcontractors, and North Carolina regulatory agencies to ensure every project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with applicable codes and permitting requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Operate by our core values in every aspect of your work: Fair and Honest, Others Oriented, and Always Improving
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for each remodel
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Support the Office Manager with permit applications and code, zoning, and inspection requirements for Raleigh and Wake County (a supporting duty, not a primary responsibility)
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials so crews are equipped for efficient, high quality execution
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets Veritas standards
  • Promote and enforce safety regulations and best practices on every job site
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, using JobTread's Daily Log feature to keep everyone aligned
  • Evaluate scope changes with clients and prepare Additional Work Authorizations as needed
  • Monitor project finances, including budget tracking, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by proactively addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in JobTread, including contracts, drawings, permits, and daily correspondence
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve project delivery and the client experience

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred, but not required
  • Proven experience as a residential construction project manager, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Working knowledge of North Carolina building codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and drawings
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools (JobTread experience preferred)
  • Certification in project management, such as a PMP, is a plus
  • Knowledge of aging in place and universal design principles is a plus

Compensation

Competitive compensation and benefits package based on experience.

How to Apply

If you are fair and honest in your dealings, others oriented in how you lead, and always improving in your craft, and if you thrive on delivering exceptional client experiences, we encourage you to apply. Please submit resumes to office@veritas-nc.com.
