CenterCare Hospice is seeking a full-time Volunteer Coordinator. CenterCare Hospice services El Paso County, Pueblo County and Fremont County. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the volunteer program across these counties. The primary function of the Volunteer Coordinator is to act as liaison between hospice and the volunteers regarding patient/family needs. General responsibilities include development and promotion of volunteer programs and maximizing resources.

Job Responsibilities:
-Interfaces with the Director of Nursing and IDT to aid in the overall development and enhancement of the volunteer program
-Develops and conducts a continuing program for recruiting, training, and retention of volunteers
-Supervises and establishes goals and objectives for the volunteer program
-Responsible for screening, selecting, evaluating and counseling of volunteers, to ensure these individuals meet the highest standards of personal integrity, emotional maturity, responsibility, flexibility and sensitivity to the needs of the dying patient and family
-Performs annual evaluations for all volunteers
-Assigns volunteers to meet program needs appropriate to volunteers’ interests and skills
-Coordinates and participates in volunteer training and orientation sessions
-Responsible for documenting and tracking appropriate volunteer statistical information and other volunteer program records
-Must be able to maintain 5% Volunteer hours monthly
-Assesses and identifies volunteers’ educational needs and implements appropriate programs
Job Requirements:
-2 Years Experience in Hospice Volunteer Recruitment and Management of Volunteers is needed
-Strong leadership qualities
-High School Diploma
-Strong organizational skills
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the interdisciplinary team and the lay and professional public
-Current Colorado Driver's License
-Must have reliable transportation available during work hours. Vehicle must be properly registered and insured in accordance with state law
