What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator/Materials & Field Operations Coordinator position at Veritas Restoration South?
Key Responsibilities:
* Pick up and deliver building materials to active job sites.
* Meet with homeowners, subcontractors, and project managers to coordinate work.
* Measure projects and verify all material quantities before orders are placed.
* Coordinate material orders and deliveries with suppliers such as Lowe’s and specialty siding, roofing, and gutter distributors.
* Ensure crews have all required materials, tools, and equipment before arriving on site to minimize downtime.
* Respond quickly to job-site issues, locate additional materials when needed, and keep projects on schedule.
* Perform quality checks to verify materials match the scope of work before installation.
* Schedule and coordinate dump runs, material returns, and special-order pickups.
* Maintain communication between the office, suppliers, and field crews throughout the day.
* Prioritize multiple tasks and travel between job sites as needed to keep projects moving efficiently.
Ideal Candidate:
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Able to read a tape measure and verify material takeoffs.
* Knowledge of residential roofing, siding, gutters, and exterior construction is preferred.
* Comfortable driving a pickup truck and hauling materials.
* Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of solving problems independently.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
* Able to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
