Job Description

The Veritas Music & Learning Center has openings for the following Academic tutoring positions:

Private math tutor. Able to teach middle school- high school concepts including Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Precalculus. AP Calculus and AP Statistics a bonus.

This position is for independent contractor status teachers in person at our academic and music tutoring center.

IMMEDIATE NEED: We can use teachers as subs very frequently, as well as new permanent staff, so the opportunity to substitute teach is also available Mondays through Saturdays in subjects in which the candidate is qualified.

HOURS: Flexible. We are open 6 days a week. Teachers can fill their schedule from 1 day, to several days.

IMMEDIATE NEED:
Monday evening, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturday morning

SALARY: $38.00/hr or $19.00 per 30 min lesson or tutoring session.

QUALIFICATIONS: College degree in education is preferred, but will take into consideration teaching experience.

The Veritas Center is a unique center where Music and Academic Tutoring all take place at the same time. We have approximately 42 teachers providing private and small group classes and lessons and tutoring in Piano, Voice, Cello, Violin, Viola, Trumpet, Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Guitar, Drums, Marimba, Bells, Saxophone, Clarinet, 7 different languages, and all academic subjects, including Art and Chess.

The center has an open and friendly waiting area, with toys and free Wi-Fi for parents or siblings. There are snacks available for purchase too! The rooms have large windows, and are large enough for several people to comfortably join in the fun.
