Non-Christian RELIGIOUS LEADER (Unitarian Universalist, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, or Other Traditions)
Position will be onsite at one of the locations listed below:
·El Paso TX, Los Fresnos TX, Batavia NY, Guantanamo Bay (Cuba), Florence AZ, Miami FL
VMG is seeking experienced and compassionate UU, Imam, Rabbi, Lama,
Pujari, Spiritual Advisor, or individual from other non-Christian faith
traditions to support the Religious Services Program in U.S. Immigration
and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Detention Facilities.
Responsibilities
·Provide group services, educational sessions, and one-on-one spiritual counseling aligned with the Chaplain’s faith tradition.
·Engage with a diverse detainee population and support religious freedom through inclusive program development.
·Collaborate with volunteers and chaplaincy staff across various faiths to coordinate multi-faith services.
·Build relationships with external faith communities to extend support, materials, and programming.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
ØBachelor's degree or equivalent religious training
Ø5 years of chaplaincy or faith leadership
Ø Fluent in English and Spanish
ØExperience in multicultural/detention settings preferred
Ø CPE and/or Board Certification preferred
ØMust pass federal background check
