We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our growing team. This role involves managing a fleet of 10–20 drivers Monday through Saturday, ensuring smooth operations in last-mile flatbed delivery of construction materials.
While this is primarily a remote position, you will occasionally (about once every two weeks) visit facilities to meet with clients and ensure high service standards. The ideal candidate has dispatch experience in the logistics industry and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, motivate, and manage a team of drivers, providing coaching and performance feedback.
· Dispatch drivers on daily assignments and monitor routes for maximum efficiency.
· Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery and order accuracy.
· Use logistics software and analytical skills to optimize processes and control costs.
· Develop and implement strategic plans to improve delivery efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
· Prior logistics and dispatch experience highly preferred.
· Previous management experience highly preferred.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
· Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational abilities.
· Data-driven mindset with the ability to identify trends and optimize operations.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
· Problem-solving ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
· High School Diploma required.
