About Position:
The Junior Field IT Technician will be providing onsite technical & customer support service in the office to a variety of different customers which use mostly Microsoft Windows systems, troubleshooting problems and supporting network and other communication devices.
Job Description:
This position will respond from office or on-site to requests for technical assistance with all aspects of a networked environment, including workstations, servers, routers, switches, phones, security devices & other. Must be able to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues. Research questions using available information resources, advise user on appropriate action and make technical recommendations. Follow technical support procedures and log all support interactions with documenting resolutions. Assist with inventory tracking and mangement. Ability to work from our office in Needham, present yourself in a professional manner and work under high pace environments.
The ideal candidate should have outstanding customer service skills, strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and excellent at diagnosing problems to bring resolution. S/he will be a strong communicator who is team oriented and adaptable with a customer service mentality.
Must have the ability to travel to various clients' locations as needed or work from home. Work hours will be 8am-5pm, and may be required to work evenings to accommodate client / business needs. Be a part of “weekend coverage” emergency calls & issues from clients, once per month.
Required Skills:
- At least two years experience with installation & troubleshooting technical equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with customer focus.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Self motivated, energized and ability to perform multiple tasks ranging from project management, training and problem solving.
- Must be able to demonstrate outstanding customer relationships
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently without much direction or supervision.
- Must have the ability to understand technical products

- High School Diploma

- Apple, droid & other mobile technologies
- Managed Network routers & switches
- Working knowledge of AD, DNS & DHCP
- Managed Firewalls & VPN devices
- Cloud Infrastructure (AWS & Azure)
- Webmail technologies (IMAP & POP) & Encryption
- Cloud secure backup technologies
- Microsoft Office Suite
- CAT6/5, Audio, HDMI wiring and termination
- Work with and experience with Low Voltage Cabling wiring & terminations. (CAT6, HDMI, Audio, etc).
- Several years of experience in technical and customer service areas.
- Ability to perform onsite assessments, onboarding, and support sales with clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field.
