Science Teacher 2025 - 2026
Job Description: Veritas Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and Christ-centered Science teacher to join our faculty. The teacher will deliver engaging instruction rooted in a biblical worldview, facilitate hands-on learning experiences—including laboratory work—and assess student growth and participation. Core science courses include:
Biology Lab
Physical Science Lab
Chemistry Lab
Type of Position: Part-time
Requirements & Qualifications:
Spiritual & Professional Commitment:
Believes teaching is a godly calling and is committed to investing in students’ spiritual and academic growth
Is a born-again Christian, actively involved in a Bible-believing church, and able to teach from a biblical perspective
Academic Credentials:
Holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Mathematics from an accredited college or university
Possesses a current NJ Department of Education (NJ DOE) or ACSI Secondary Teacher Certification
A Master’s degree in a specific area of Science or Mathematics is preferred, and required for teaching dual enrollment courses
Instructional Competencies:
Demonstrates excellence in classroom management and student engagement
Designs interactive, rigorous lessons and labs that foster curiosity and critical thinking
Develops curriculum and uses data-driven strategies to assess and support student learning
Assesses students along a continuum of proficiency and adapts instruction accordingly
Collaborates effectively with faculty and administration to meet student needs
