What are the responsibilities and job description for the Girls Head Soccer Coach position at Veritas Christian Academy?
We are Veritas Christian Academy — a community of students, parents, teachers, and administrators with a shared vision of creating a biblically-grounded foundation for students to stand on throughout their lives impacting the world for the glory of God. VCA educates students in a Christ—centered atmosphere by discipling students toward academic, artistic, and athletic excellence. We partner with mission-minded families to integrate Christian faith and academic learning for their children from preschool through 12th grade. Coaching Expectations
- Coaches will teach biblical principles to their team, as well as pray for and with the students, both individually and corporately.
- Coaches are expected to prioritize the building of character, citizenship, and academics over simply winning games.
- Coaches are expected to schedule all practices and provide for the supervision and leadership of all practices, with particular emphasis on safety.
- Coaches are expected to treat minor injuries with care and complete an Incident/Accident/Injury Report. All serious injuries should be reported to the trainer, AD, and school nurse.
- Coaches are required to use a systematic method of communication for players, parents, and administration.
- Be knowledgeable of and follow all MSHSAA guidelines and policies of VCA while carrying out your coaching duties.
- Emphasize victory with honor/humility and teach players how to accept losses gracefully.
