PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary:
The Project Manager strategically coordinates and develops customer solutions resulting in a project plan of product scope and project deliverables. Positioning the project, assisting in developing the bid strategy and winning sales are additional major accountabilities.

Reports To: The Project Manager reports to the CEO and COO

Essential Functions:
Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Identifies, evaluates, and manages risks and operational objectives for each project assigned.
• Creates project charter, plan and creates objectives for each project with stakeholders.
• Establishes milestones and a flow chart for each project.
• Responsible for maintaining the project schedule.
• Identifies problems, trends, and implements corrective actions if needed.
• Encourages and provides strategies for continuous improvement through constant innovation.
• Minimizes hidden costs by proper budgetary planning as applicable.

Contract Manufacturing Responsibilities:

• Implement new strategies for the company’s new business model for contract manufacturing.
• Create new procedures, flow charts and checklists to align and streamline new business processes.
• Liaison between Veritacor Manufacturing Executives, warehouse, production, QC, QA, Product Development to communicate progress with each private labeling project and contract manufacturing projects.
• Establishes timeline for each private label project, contract manufacturing jobs.
• Initiates private labeling checklist and creates part numbers for private labeling products.
• Monitors each project for progression and anticipates delays which are communicated to management and sales.
• Responsible for bringing together stakeholders when necessary to facilitate a project’s advancement.
• Maintains metrics for each section of the private labeling processes to identify trends and suggest improvements or corrective actions if needed.
• Works with production planner to monitor product inventory necessary for private labeling and to communicate product availability to sales.

Product Development Planning Responsibilities:

• Works with Senior Leadership to create individual projects for each new product proposal.
• Works with Senior Leadership to establish development budgets for each new product.
• Creates development project timeline, new product workflow, and milestones for each new product.
• Ensure each project stays within budget and is completed on time.
• Brings together stakeholders through meetings, critical problem-solving strategies and when necessary to ensure project advancement.
• Organizes and chairs start up meetings for new products entering the pilot phase of development.
• Works with production planner to ensure pilot batches are scheduled in a timely manner and raw materials are sufficient for future batch planning.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of bachelor’s preferred and/or any combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years experience in project management relevant field such as supplement manufacturing
• Education may be substituted with years of experience in relevant industry performing project management functions.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday through Thursday
• Friday is a 6 hour shift

Work Environment:

• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and dry dusty conditions; moving mechanical parts; airborne particles; the noise level in the environment is moderate. Exposure to blending material agents, supplies and fumes, prepares orders with operating equipment that may release airborne particles, moving mechanical equipment to complete assembly of machinery.
